Museum of 20th­­­­ and 21st Century Art of St Petersburg and its education team invite visitors to a new lecture course dedicated to the history of world art from ancient times to the present day!

At the lecture Medieval Art. Treasures of Barbarian Kingdoms visitors will get acquainted with the early Christian catacomb art and architecture of the first basilicas, learn about cultural specifics of barbarian tribes – how to distinguish Ostgoths from Visigoths, Lombards from Franks! We shall undertake a fascinating journey into the history of arts and crafts: we shall talk about royal treasuries, crowns and masterpieces of polychrome style.
